She met him when he assisted with a dermatology surgery to remove skin cancer under her eye. \u201cBecause it was so close to my eye, the doctor wasn\u2019t comfortable closing the incision,\u201d Linda explains. \u201cThe dermatologist did her work to remove the cancer and then whisked me off for Dr. Scott to stitch me back up.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>After that, Linda went to see Dr. Scott many more times. \u201cThey did follow-up appointments for a year after that surgery, and that felt really good,\u201d she says. \u201cI had stitches all along the lower part of my eye, but you would not even know anything occurred. There\u2019s absolutely no scar \u2014 it\u2019s incredible.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Linda had her surgery in February 2020, so her first follow-up appointments were in the middle of the COVID-19 lockdown. \u201cI was a little freaked out about that,\u201d Linda remembers, \u201cbut they put my mind at ease. All their protocols for cleaning were very evident.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>During her follow-up consultations, Dr. Scott advised Linda that she would benefit from an upper blepharoplasty and she then proceeded with the surgery in September 2022. \u201cWhen you tell somebody you had your eyelids done for medical reasons, they\u2019re like, \u2018Yeah, right,\u2019\u201d she laughs. \u201cBut my peripheral vision has opened up tremendously, and of course, it had the benefit of making my eyes \u2018reappear,\u2019 so to speak.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Linda particularly appreciates that the work appears natural. \u201cIt looks very subtle,\u201d she explains. \u201cDr. Scott explains that he does everything with precise measurements, so it doesn\u2019t alter the [overall] way somebody looks.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Linda moved to Northern Virginia to be near her son and his wife, who have a 4-year-old child and another due any day. A former teacher at Quantico, she retired to help with child care. Considering her other responsibilities, Linda is grateful for the ease of making an appointment with the office. \u201cDawn is the heavenly office manager and surgical scheduler,\u201d she says. \u201cShe is fantastic, and everyone who works with Dr. Scott makes it so the patient doesn\u2019t have to worry about the logistics.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>After many visits to the office, Linda remains thrilled that she found Eye Plastic Associates. \u201cI have some friends and family who have gotten work done,\u201d she says, \u201cand they weren\u2019t happy at all.
